THE GLIMPSE

Going Live Into My Promised Strategic Essence

GODS TREASURES assist women who are currently or has recently overcome a temporary state of stolen identity with the emphasis on childhood abuse, homelessness, drug/ alcohol addiction, imprisonment, prostitution, domestic violence as well any other lifestyle that has caused her to experience a life of despair. We instill hope by providing an experience of what their life really looks like. GODS TREASURES not only tell them about their true identity but the women actually get a real live GLIMPSE  by allowing them to enter in that place. They shop for high end fashions at GODS TREASURES BOUTIQUE at no cost and attend events and getaways that transform the way they think of themselves as they tap into their true identity that was stolen.

The women begin to declare "I, I, I"  "It was Stolen…It’s Mine…I’m Taking It Back”

Three women of Shepherds Cove Homeless Shelter in Capitol Heights, Maryland received a GLIMPSE at the Gaylord Convention Center for County Executive Angela Alsobrooks Inaugural Ball December 1, 2018.

The three women were given complimentary hair do's at Hodge Podge The Salon in Ft. Washington, Maryland. The owner said that "This is what we do, give back".

The Blessed Touch Makeup Artistry didn't hesitate when asked to provide complimentary make up services for the women. They certainly have the right name, "Blessed".

Janet Cooper-Pitts of Traci Lynn Jewelry is always a part of making sure the right jewelry is donated to complete the women attire.

This was our County Executive Angela Alsobrooks idea to have the women attend. Is Prince Georges County blessed or what to have elected a woman with such a heart.

Jacqueline Younger (left) of GOD'S TREASURES BOUTIQUE provided gowns and shoes to make sure the women were dressed for the occsasion.

Having a GLIMPSE can change your life forever. This is who our sisters really are.

THE GLIMPSE would like to thank County Executive Angela Alsobrooks, United Community Against Poverty, Shepherd Cove Homeless Shelter, Hodge Podge The Salon, The Blessed Touch Makeup Artistry, BFit Belinda Johnson and Janet Cooper-Pitts of Traci Lynn Jewelry.
